A slightly slimmer version of Union West has been revealed, which would now bring 358 new apartment residences to a West Loop location that’s bounded by Washington, Sangamon, Morgan, and Madison. 

Dubbed Union West, the ambitious new project was first introduced last October and included 405 units throughout its two 17-story towers, which have also both been reduced to 15 stories in the revised proposal. An additional 8-story building along Madison Street was also part of the original plan, however, that building has also been reduced down to just one story should the development eventually move forward.

Wicker Park Connection RentalsAccording to recent reports, a new large-scale development being planned for Wicker Park has officially been approved, likely bringing 200 new residences to both Milwaukee Avenue and Divisions Street. 

The permits issued to developers call for a 15-story apartment tower at 1640 W. Division, while 17 townhouses and a 7-story condo building is also part of the overall project scope. Being called Wicker Park Connection, Wicker Park’s newest development is from Centrum Partners and its design is from the Hirsch Associates architecture firm.

170 N. Green ApartmentsA new, large-scale proposal is under review that could possibly bring hundreds of new rentals to the red hot Fulton Market neighborhood. According to reports, Bridgford Foods is wanting to develop a massive new project that would not only include a 314-unit apartment building to 170 N. Green, but also and additional 5-story office building at 171 N. Green. 

Designed by Chicago-based Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture (HPA), 170 N. Green would stand 13 stories high and also include ground level retail space and two levels of parking for up to 250 vehicles.
