New residential options are coming to the West Loop, as proposals call for the area to soon be home to three new apartment projects, all currently still in the works.

845 W. Madison

One of the largest is the project planned for 845 W Madison. Taking up an entire block, the development will eventually house more than 580 apartments and a large amount of retail space on the ground level.

Yet another new project is a proposed 19-story building going in at 900 W Randolph. The project entails eventually housing around 280 rental units, from studios to three-bedrooms. The plan calls for changing over an industrial building at 4046 N Hermitage Avenue into a total of 15 loft-style units. In addition, plans also call for demolishing an adjacent structure and replacing it with three new condos.

The developer also plans to deliver a total of 31 parking spaces, as well as add new landscaping, a green roof, a communal deck and exterior balconies to the former factory. Most of the condos would be priced between $800,000 to $1 million, with two affordably priced units of around $400,000.
