UIC / Medical District

The Illinois Medical District is the 6th largest medical district in the United States and receives roughly 75,000 visitors daily. It includes University of Illinois at Chicago Hospital, John Stroger Hospital and Rush Medical Center. Local medical students attend world-class universities like UIC & Rush University. Residents of this neighborhood appreciate the different ethnic restaurants on Taylor Street and surely never go hungry. The neighborhood is also home to the UIC Pavilion & the National Italian American Sports Hall of Fame.
