It’s been a little while since we’ve heard about what’s happening at 500 N. Milwaukee—a prime piece of real estate located in the heart of the River West neighborhood. Although the Chicago Plan Commission approved a large 14-story, two-building project well over a year ago, nothing has really happened since…until just last week.
At long last, it looks like developers finally broke ground for what will eventually bring a 227 residential units and 88 parking spaces for tenants to what seems to be a very up-and-coming part of town.
Although technically not part of Fulton Market, where restaurants, bars, and of course the new office development that Google will soon call home keep popping up, River West is a unique and very desirable location for home buyers or renters to consider, as it’s just an ear shout away from three of downtown’s hottest neighborhoods: River North, Fulton Market, and the West Loop.
Updated renderings of the new 500 N. Milwaukee rental project were also just recently released and can be seen below. No official completion date has been announced, but expect 500 N. Milwaukee rentals to be delivered sometime in 2016.
