Equis of Old Town CondosAt a time when condo opportunities in Chicago’s highly sought-after Old Town neighborhood are relatively limited, Equis of Old Town promises to be one of the most anticipated new developments to hit this part of the city in recent memory.

Consisting of two separate buildings, Equis of Old Town will feature a fabulous mix of one and two bedroom condos that start at $290,000 and $415,000 respectively, and a stately collection of private three-bedroom simplex units from $890,000. But along with a stunning design and interior finishes and features that won’t disappoint, potential home buyers should also consider the development’s premium Old Town location that will literally put you just steps from one of the most vibrant and lively stretches of shopping, dining, and entertainment in all of downtown Chicago. Parks, schools, and plenty of other nearby amenities will also be at your fingertips once calling Equis of Old Town home, and to provide just a small glimpse of what surrounds this stunning new development, take a closer look at just a few of our favorite Old Town spots below:

The Restaurants

Once becoming a part of the Old Town community, there's hardly a shortage of options nearby to grab breakfast, lunch, or diner. Restaurants and outdoor patios line Chicago's bustling Wells Street District, and you'll find there's even a broader selection of eateries throughout the outskirts of the neighborhood too.

Orso's Ristorante

Believe it or not, this classic Italian trattoria is one of the original restaurant’s in the historic Old Town neighborhood and is now considered a Chicago institution. Also family owned and operated, it’s great to support one of the great local restaurants with a ton of tradition and food that’s sure to fill you up.

Burton Place

If you’re looking for a casual spot in the neighborhood to shoot some pool, watch a game, or just hang out with some friends, Burton Place is the spot. Offering a pretty solid selection of pub fare, this late-night tavern continues to be one of our favorites in Old Town.

Broken English Taco Pub

Easily the recognizable eatery in Old Town, this colorful, mural-filled stop along the way serves up some pretty mean Mexican dishes and cocktails. In the summer, the patio is second-to-none, and the inside is definitely just as vibrant as the building’s exterior, which as you can see from the image, says a lot.

SteakBar has more of a chic, loungey-type vibe that’s perfect for a Friday or Saturday night out on the town. But while it undeniably has the make-up of an energetic nightlife spot, the weekend brunch here is also out-of-this world. And when you’re living in Old Town, there’s nothing quite like kicking off a Sunday with bottomless mimosas and a burger topped with an egg.

The Entertainment

The dining scene isn't the only thing that makes living in Old Town special. Despite being so close to the heart of downtown Chicago, Old Town also has plenty of great nightlife spots to enjoy as well, starting with our favorite comedy club in the city: Zanies!

Zainies Comedy Club

If you’ve lived in Chicago for any extended period of time, you’ve probably already paid a visit to Zanies at some point, a place that’s been presenting the best stand-up comedy in the city since 1978. National headliners are here just about every weekend, and it’s small, intimate vibe truly makes for a great way to spend an evening full of laughs, fun, and strong cocktails.

The Parks

Outdoor amenities are prevalent all throughout the Old Town area, and it’s also a location that isn’t too far from the lakefront. But right down the street from Equis of Old Town is the Franklin Fine Arts Campus, which features plenty of open green space, a soft ball field, and even a playground.

The Schools

Interested to see which local schools are near condos for sale at Equis of Old Town? Well, one school in particular comes to mind, which is only a few short steps away from the front lobby doors.

Catherine Cook School

The Catherine Cool School continues to be one of the most highly-touted schools for students ages preschool through eighth grade. And with it also being situated just a block away from Equis of Old Town, it’s also in a pretty convenient spot too if you’re somebody who’s looking for a luxurious new condo who also want to be close to area schools.
