Just when you thought Chicago’s apartment boom was about to slow down, plans for another apartment tower at 465 N. Park have been proposed, which would stand just over 500 feet tall and house 444 residential units, 181 parking spaces, and even 11,650 square feet of retail space that would occupy every street-facing side of the building.
The project, which is being planned by Jupiter Realty and Pappageorge Haymes, only needs one zoning change that relates to an increase in the number of dwelling units, and if approved, construction could start as soon as January 2016.
According to reports, the new Streeterville apartment tower at 465 N. Park will be priced in the mid-luxury range and right on par with many of the other new rental projects that have popped up over the last few years in other parts of Streeterville and the Loop. Amenities should also be relatively similar and could include a 5th floor amenity deck, as well as a smaller skyjack on the top floor that will offer terrific views of Lake Michigan and the surrounding cityscape.
