New Development News: Block 37 Rentals Coming to the Chicago Loop
New rental developments have become commonplace in the downtown Chicago real estate landscape, and just confirmed today are plans for yet another high-profile apartment project—this time in the Loop. While it’s been a topic of conversation for quite some time now, it seems the massive new residential addition to Block 37 is moving forward, which will add almost 700 more rentals to the downtown market.
In all, the new Block 37 rental tower will stand 34 stories high and sit atop the already existing shopping center that’s situated at 108 N. State Street. As mentioned in several reports, details about interior finishes and common amenities have yet to be released, but given what’s included at other recently completed buildings in the area like 111 W. Wacker and 73 E. Lake, it’s hard to imagine the new Block 37 apartments having anything but a full complement of high-end, upscale features.
Despite around 3,700 downtown units being delivered next year, and a possible 5,000 more in 2016, the luxury Chicago apartment market seems to only be gaining steam as we enter the final phase of 2014, and with no signs of a slow-down anytime soon, we’re certainly excited to see what’s in store for 2015 and beyond when it comes to luxury rentals in Chicago.
