A new, large-scale proposal is under review that could possibly bring hundreds of new rentals to the red hot Fulton Market neighborhood. According to reports, Bridgford Foods is wanting to develop a massive new project that would not only include a 314-unit apartment building to 170 N. Green, but also and additional 5-story office building at 171 N. Green.
Designed by Chicago-based Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture (HPA), 170 N. Green would stand 13 stories high and also include ground level retail space and two levels of parking for up to 250 vehicles.
Bridgford Foods, who already operates a facility at the possible development site, has reportedly outgrown the location and plans to relocate somewhere else in Chicago, but not before capitalizing on the unprecedented building boom that’s sweeping the West Loop and Fulton Market neighborhoods.
As of now, nothing has been made official regarding either of the Bridgford Food buildings, so stay tuned for further updates.
